The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) provides free assistance to eligible individuals and families who need help resolving IRS tax issues.
Our services are confidential and designed to help taxpayers understand their rights and options when dealing with tax problems.

Unpaid taxes, tax debt, and payment options

Tax levies, liens, and wage garnishments

Tax return amendments and filing issues

Identity theft and tax-related fraud

Referrals to appropriate resources for IRS communication and representation
Please note: LITC does not prepare current-year tax returns! If you need Free Tax Preparation Service (VITA) please refer to the CSC VITA webpage.

You may qualify for LITC services if:

Your household income is generally at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, based on household size
-
You are experiencing an IRS tax issue, regardless of the tax year involved
-
Eligibility is based on current income, not the year the tax problem occurred.
