Advanced Education in General Dentistry
CSC Health AEGD Residency offers a one-year residency beginning of July 2027

Overview
-
CSC Health AEGD Residency offers a one-year residency beginning of July.
-
Residents work with faculty gaining experience in endodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, prosthetics, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, 3D dentistry, and implants.
-
Our residents gain practical hands on experience with low-income patient population in a community health center setting.
-
Our residents work with a variety of patients, including those who are medically compromised, dental phobic, and developmentally disabled.
-
In addition, our residents receive guidance from faculty at CSC health who are experienced practitioners and mentors with over 10-30+ years of experience.

Program Goals and Objectives
-
Provide residents with training in necessary didactic and clinical experience that will enable them to provide comprehensive dental care to the broadest possible spectrum of the population.
-
Enhance the graduate’s ability to make sound evidence-based and patient-centered clinical judgments in arriving at a diagnosis, treatment plan, and decision-making assessments during the course of treatment or post-treatment outcomes.
-
Establish the general dentist’s function within the interdisciplinary health care team.
-
Provide residents with an educational experience in understanding the oral health needs of communities by engaging in community service.

About the Residency
Residents will deliver comprehensive oral health care to patients while having the chance to perform a range of standard and advanced clinical procedures across all dental specialties (most procedures are kept in house - no residents from other specialties will be competing for cases) all under the direct supervision of a team of general dentists. The faculty at CSC consists of seasoned practitioners who have and mentored both residents and pre-doctoral dental.
Residents will also learn to serve low-income patients in a community health center environment and gain experience oral health care to a diverse population encompassing various races, religions, ethnicities, and economic statuses.
The AEGD program spans 12 months, with approximately 85 percent the time dedicated to clinical experience. The remainder will involve literature reviews, clinical case presentations, and didactic activities that include formal lectures—either in-person or via video conferencing—and small-group interactive sessions.
