Senior Vice President Bank of America – Risk Executive

Vinh Ngo is a Senior Vice President, West Region Risk Executive for the Commercial Real Estate Bank at Bank of America. Vinh joined the Bank in 1996 after graduating from the University of Southern California with dual degrees in Accounting and Real Estate Finance. He leads a team of senior Credit Risk Managers responsible for the Bank’s commercial real estate portfolio spanning from Chicago to the West coast.
Prior to this role, Vinh held various leadership positions within the Commercial Real Estate Bank. He joined the Bank as a Real Estate credit analyst, work as a Relationship Underwriter and a Relationship Manager. He took on leadership roles leading the underwriting team for the Home Builder Division in 2004, underwriting team in the Real Estate Special Assets Group in 2008, and was most recently a senior Credit Risk Manager responsible for the Greater Los Angeles and
Southern California area markets from 2012 to 2018.
Vinh is a co-chair of the Greater Los Angeles Asian Leadership Team, an across the lines of business senior team Leaders who focuses on Asian business integration; and also co-chair of the Greater Los Angeles Talent Development Initiatives. He is a Chair Emeritus and Advisor for the Asian Leadership Network (having served as co-chair 2010-2011), an Employee Network that focuses on Associate career development and community outreach with more than 1,500 Associates.
Vinh is an active community leader through his volunteer services. He is the current Board Clerk, elected in December 2017 to serve a 4 year term for the Garvey School District located in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California. He is also the Board President of the Garvey Education Foundation (GEF) which raises money for local school activities benefiting students and teachers. Vinh is the Board Treasure of the Chinatown Service Center which provides health and social services for the low-income community in Southern California. He also serves as a mentor for the Asian American Professional Association (AAPA) which provides career and personal growth in mentorship, and services for non-profit Board development.
Since 2008, Vinh has continuously earned The President’s Volunteer Service Award. Vinh received the prestigious Bank of America Global Diversity and Inclusion Award for his positive impact in the workplace and in the community in 2016. In his spare time, he enjoys being an involved father to his two teenagers, attending their many activities as well as bringing them to various volunteer events to teach them the value of giving
