Lawrence Tam

Director of Retention Operations team, AT&T

BOARD MEMBER

Lawrence is a customer-focused and technically savvy leader skilled in data-driven processes, marketing and call center operations, project management and SDLC development methodologies.  He is currently serving as the Director of Retention Operations team at AT&T, leading enterprise wide video and broadband initiatives.  

Lawrence also knows a few things about entrepreneurship as he was a co-owner of a small start-up business for over 3 years.  This small 30-person company developed a financial management solution for auto lending institutions.  The company once managed a $200+ million auto loan portfolio, from origination, underwriting, servicing to recovery.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Cal Poly and MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.

 

When he is not at work, he enjoys biking, hiking, dragon boat racing, just about anything outdoor.  He strongly believes that enjoying good food is his #1 life priority.  He is also a practitioner of yoga meditation which can lead to a better balance of mind, body and spirituality.
